And the fact is that according to Jose Abugaber, president of the Chamber of the Footwear Industry of the State of Guanajuato (CIDEG) this type of shoe represented about 20 percent of Mexican exports in the sector last year.

The official added that the world is not produced as much as a boot in Mexico, for the industrial and artisanal profile of the country and most of the production is from Guanajuato.
"The bulk of manufacturers, approximately 50 manufacturers are engaged in denim boots, especially in construction welt," he said Abugaber.
This product competes with the Italian, providing production and design and with the U.S., which already has own brands, said Huerta.
According Bancomext, Mexico's trading partners in NAFTA are the natural market for Mexican exports of footwear, also Latino immigrants joined 40 million, 27 of them Mexicans, and consumption of denim boot up among men and women.
Huerta stressed that Mexican producers of denim boots have innovated and improved designs, in addition to producing new models in pastel colors with details more attractive to the female market.
